Outlook compared to Notes

I'm sure your correct about Notes being so much more but I only need an email client at least as good and as responsive as Outlook. I mostly miss the type ahead feature, I'm getting tired of retyping the same email address over and over again. The address book in notes only seems to work if you type the name exactly as it's posted. The sluggishness is also frustrating. Much better with 8.x but I still miss Outlook, I only use Notes because my UK based company uses Domino.

Personally I don’t care about all the additional features Notes has behind the scenes, I’m not an IT guru, I’m a business professional who simply misses his speedier and more user friendly tool. The calendar in Notes 8 is still pretty weak. For example: In Outlook I can click on an existing appointment and change it to an “all day” event and then later I can extend the days very simply and quickly by simply dragging the event icon . In Notes it appears that you cannot change a 1 hour appointment into an all day event. You have to delete it and start over. Furthermore if you want to make an all day event longer you have to actually double click on it and change the dates. Maybe that was acceptable in 1995 but not now, not to me, not when I’ve already been using a more streamlined user
friendly app.

I’ll use my “buying a new car” car analogy….

So your telling me it’s got an air conditioned trunk and lots of other cool stuff other cars don’t have. That’s great but I still want a steering wheel and rear view mirror.
